Course Description

The Alenda Golf course was designed and built by Roland Favrat with the maximum respect for the original lay of the land and the estate’s natural vegetation, avoiding any aggressive movements of earth during the construction process.

The golf course was completed in October 1999. It covers 49 hectares of land, 18 holes, par 72 and 6,257 metres in length, as well as an excellent practice area.

Editors view: “Alenda is another favourite course of mine. I have not played since there since the new clubhouse was built by friends in the area say it is a great facility. The course is laid out along two valleys, the front 9 is more parkland like, with wider fairways and more generous tee shots. The back 9 is a tougher test with some tight fairways, long par 3s and a very tough dogleg left on 18. Do you drive over the lake and go for glory, or play safe and stick to the right?”

The course is very suitable to high handicap players ,meaning broad fairways and several holes that look like each other. Not much water and not many waste areas.

Alenda is a good place to play golf, the greens are usually very true and take a ball well – tees are a little shabby though. The good people that work there also make it a pleasant experience.

Played the course today, thoroughly enjoyable. The course was in good condition, greens fast but not to fast, not to busy. Club house served nice cold beer a lovely tapas. Am going to try a squeeze another round here during my stay.
