Course Description
The design of Bonalba Golf Resort is very impressive, with 5 large lakes, affecting 7 holes, and plenty of bunkers, especially situated to make decisions from the tee shot.
The front nine holes can be considered more technical on the shot to the green, the short game will be very useful in order to save the par. In the second round, more specifically from the 12th to the 18th, the driver will be crucial in getting the ball on the fairway. The fairways are generous and wide.
Editors view: “I have played Bonalba about 6 times, it is a nice track, wide fairways and little to cause too much distress. The empty looking properties are on the back 9, and are a result of the housing boom/bust. If you are looking for a no nonsense round of golf, then Bonalba is a good choice.”

The greens were not up to the standard expected and spoilt by pitch marks. Suggest you hand out pitch marks with score card.. Perhaps have some sand bags to fill divots.

Established course about 20 minutes from Alicante old town. Reasonable test of golf but a little uninspiring – water on most holes not in play except 7th which was super tight water all along left, OB (houses) on right!
Course condition ok, maybe a little tired. Atmosphere spoiled by all the empty looking low cost villas/apartments along much of the course. I had an over 5 hour round, no marshals and a lot of very slow Brits hacking around letting nobody through. Quite expensive, booked online but still 75 euros including buggy.
Another Alicante course I played in a 3 club wind made it very tough.

I go on a golfing break every year (the last 10 years) in the spring with some mates, have played lots of courses in the Costa Blanca / Murcia area, Bonalba is the only course we go to every trip.
Well laid out course that doesnt destroy you, friendly staff, often as not a trolly dolly! good views We (the group) always enjoy our day there.
