Course Description

Alhama Signature Golf is an exceptional course that has been designed and signed in person by Jack Nicklaus. This long and spectacular course has been developed among five great lakes, with original circular tees, wide fairways with rough and rapid greens. There are a total of 116 bunkers of particular and varied shapes with white silica sand. The paspalum semi-rough acts as a transition grass between the fairway and the wide rough that defines the course. The course is integrated in to a landscape that maintains all the indigenous flora and fauna which is typical of the nearby Sierra de Espuña, with pines, esparto grass, rosemary, thyme among other indigenous species from this area.

A fair challenge with some wide open spaces, but also some challenging tighter shots with water featuring quite prominently on some holes. Some areas off the fairways were a bit scruffy, but generally the course was in good condition for the height of summer. A bit strange when you arrive as you efffectively have to park in the supermarket / restaurant area, and then get a buggy to drive through the development for some distance to get to the first tee. Worth playing if you are in the area.

Fairways in good condition. Greens need some work. Quite a short course but undulating and interesting.

Spectacular course with bunker landscapes which (unfortunately) does not exist in our land!
Unfortunately weakens the Spain Square crisis! Nicklaus has given his best, whether the high standard can be maintained (or regained), is open!
My opinion nevertheless necessarily play!
