Scottish golfer Dougie Thomson from Glasgow is recovering in hospital after being attacked by a crocodile while playing golf on holiday in Cancun, Mexico.
In this interview with BBC Radio 5 he describes how he and his friend were both dragged into a lagoon, before other friends used golf clubs and a golf buggy to attack the crocodile and managed to save them both.
I’ve been playing golf on courses around Alicante and Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca for nearly 30 years, and I can assure you that I have never seen a crocodile in any of the lakes on the golf courses. I have played a few bandits, but even they left their donkeys in the car park!
